The Story Behind Flourish Coworking Space: Meet the Founder and Vision

When our founder, Laura DiFrancesco, launched her business, she had the tools and ambition to succeed. However, she was missing one thing: an inspiring space where she and Molly (her golden retriever, a.k.a., the Flourish mascot) could work, and a supportive community to grow alongside. She needed a space to work, create, and be inspired. Her idea became the beginning of Flourish Coworking and Event Space.

At Flourish Coworking Space, professionals have a place to be productive, collaborate, and spark new ideas. Members are able to grow their businesses by building worthwhile relationships, exchanging referrals, networking with mentors, and discovering new opportunities for growth. She wanted a space where people could work and be surrounded by other hardworking, positive, and uplifting individuals.

Our personal mission is to make Flourish your go-to business resource and support system, and Laura deserves a spotlight for all her hard work and ambition that she put into making Flourish what it is today.

The Heart Behind Flourish

Many people have described Laura not just with a single phrase, but rather as an icon, an inspiration, an entrepreneur, a corporate attorney, a farmer, a mythological dreamer, a beauty queen, a thought leader, and, most importantly, an incredible human.

Laura is a woman whose impact has reached far beyond the businesses and communities she has built. Through her knowledge, talent, and dedication, she has created inspirational spaces where people actually have the opportunity to feel seen, supported, and empowered to show up exactly as they are. Additionally, many people have worked or interned at her companies and have gone on to be successful, even inspired by Laura’s work ethic and drive for her organization’s success.

The mission behind Flourish is rooted in her work: celebrating people of every background, identity, shape, size, and story, and helping create a culture that invites authenticity and encourages others to let their true selves shine.

Laura’s Story

Laura started out with a humble background. She grew up on a farm and was raised surrounded by open land, animals, and abundant freedom that sparks imagination. Even as a child, Laura had an entrepreneurial mind. She would attend board meetings and real estate negotiations while learning firsthand from her parents what hard work looks like early on.

With this influence, and being constantly surrounded by resourceful and ambitious people, she decided to pursue her degree in business. She attended the University of South Carolina, where she triple majored in International Business, Finance, and Real Estate in just three years. She then earned her JD and MBA from Villanova before spending seven years practicing corporate law.

Laura quickly went on to be, unsurprisingly, extremely successful. As she was growing her business with Dean Street Law, she began looking for a space for her team and was inspired by the idea of creating something beautiful and useful. From there, Laura founded Flourish.

The Founder’s Influence

Laura has made a difference one person at a time, and that ripple effect continues to influence others for a lifetime. She has inspired others to step into their own voice and write their story. Additionally, Laura has helped shape a more inclusive, encouraging, and possibility-filled world.

Her story is very unique, as she lives her life through her love for entrepreneurship, and Flourish was built around passion and purpose.

From her farm, she is surrounded by nature and all different kinds of love, such as goats, horses, her pups, and the people she loves most. Laura has created a life and mission that reflect the same values that Flourish has every day.
